Trip #1 - Come enjoy a relaxing day in a warm ice hut.  We'll take you to our favourite lakes where we have used topographical maps, sonar, and years of experience to choose the location of our huts to insure a good day on the ice.   We provide transportation, snacks, beverages, rods, lures, and bait.  We will auger your holes for you with our power augers, and will be using Vexilar sonar units to help locate where the fish are feeding.  We also have Aqua-Vu underwater video cameras to watch the fish take your lure.                                                                                                      Ice Fishing Trip Rates

Trip #2 - Fast and Furious - a day of searching for fish with a portable ice shelter, sonar, a power auger, and when time allows, an underwater video camera.  Get fishing right away and relax as we turn the lake into Swiss-cheese with the power auger while you move from hole to hole bringing in fish.  We provide transportation, hot lunch, snacks, beverages, rods, lures, and bait.  We have heaters for all of our tents if the weather is cold.  If the weather is decent we often leave the ice tent in the truck and each angler gets a bucket with a padded swivel seat so we can move at the drop of a toque!  

Trip #3 - Where no man has gone before - a day of searching for fish at a mountain lake that has only been fished a handful of times since ice up.  We will guide you on a snowshoe hike to a mountain lake that has often only been fished by our clients during the course of the winter.  A backpack full of rods and lures, a hand auger, and a vexilar sonar, is what we carry up.  You carry up a pack with your bucket with a swivel seat and your lunch.  Enjoy your surroundings on your hike and while you fish in total solitude for fish that are often eager to eat.  We provide snowshoes, transportation, snacks, beverages, rods, lures, and bait.  These trips are full day only.

All trips include transportation, all of your gear, jigging instruction, and food and drinks based on the duration of the trip.  If you have any allergies or food preferences, please discuss this with us prior to the trip in order for us to insure your satisfaction.  Please bring an outer shell, an insulation layer, a base layer, a toque, gloves, and a good pair of winter boots.  This is winter in Alberta, and the weather can change very quickly and dramatically!  If you do not have warm clothes call us and we can arrange rentals for warm winter gear.

Beginners are welcome as jigging lessons are included and basic ice fishing techniques will be covered.  How to go after different types of fish, and where to drill your hole when you get to a new lake will be covered.

Families are encouraged, as bringing your son or daughter is a great way to introduce them to this great sport while handing them down some of our heritage.

Trip Information

We offer a first class experience with great food, professional guides, and all the gear, tackle, and bait you require!  Trips begin with pickup from your hotel, a local fishing shop, or location of your choice.  We will then take you to obtain a fishing license if you require one  (you can get them online at https://www.albertarelm.com/).  Pickup time will vary according to weather, time of year, and recent fishing trends.  A typical full day will last 7 - 10 hours, while a typical half day will last up to 4 hours.  This includes travel time.  A hot lunch is available for $10 a person.  We can always adjust these times to suit your needs.
